Project Management (Project Manager / Project Director) Job Description 

Job Role : Project Manager (PM) 

About the role:

  • Project Planning & Coordination
    • Prepare detailed project plan factoring all deliverables, risks and associated mitigations.
    • Prepare Weekly Status Reports, Monthly Steering Committee Reports and adhoc Project Status Report covering all critical aspects.
    • Spearhead the Weekly Status Meeting with internal and external project team, Monthly Steering Committee Meeting and other internal project status meeting.
  • Stakeholders Management
    • Develop healthy relationship with the customer PMO & SME Team members
    • Liaison with Lead Consultant(s) and ensure that the customer PMO & SME Team members are providing milestone sign off on time.
  • Project Team Management
    • Establish and maintain cohesive working environment within the internal project team members, and keep the morale of the team
      high, especially during challenging times.
  • Problem Solving & Critical Thinking
    • Solve the issues raised by the internal project team members including solutioning, functional aspects, technical aspects and
      customer management.
    • Explore out-of-the box solutions to manage the challenges faced during the project. Partner with Project Director to address the
      challenges in timely manner.
  • Manage Project Profitability
    • Ensure the overall allocation and resource utilization is optimal, so that the actual cost of project remains within the budgeted cost.
  • Anticipate Risk and Plan
    • Anticipate risks arising due to internal or external stakeholders that can impact the success of project.
    • Partner with Project Director to address the challenges in timely manner.

Job Role : Project Director (PD) 

About the role:

  • You will be guiding 2-3 PM’s and their projects.
  • Develop healthy relations with the customer Project Steering Committee (PSC) members as well as the customer PMO Team members and ensure all issues / risk are resolved within PSC level & doesn’t escalate to Management Level.
  • Convert the key members from the customer PSC / PMO / SME Members as “Referenceable Customers” by the end of the project.
  • Ability to guide internal PMs and Lead Consultants whenever issues arise during the project. This covers technical, functional and/or project management related areas.
  • Take the overall accountability for successfully completing the project on time/ on budget as well as meet the fundamental outcome for the project.

Job Requirements:

  • Having a full-time degree from a recognized institute.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or with similar role and responsibilities as stated in the job scope.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP SuccessFactors is a must.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities to influence key stakeholders and develop
    team members.
  • Need to be a creative thinker, patient and client oriented.
